FIELD TRIP TO “HARMONY HALL,”
THE JACOB SLOAT HOUSE (1848) in Sloatsburg, New York.
We will tour the magnificent mansion, which will soon undergo restoration.
In addition, we will view a small exhibit at the Sloatsburg Library of
Native American artifacts recovered from the Spring House Rockshelter.
The house tour will be led by Geoff Welch and the artifact exhibit by
archaeologist Edward J. Lenik. We will carpool from the Visitor Center
parking lot to the Sloat House site.
