Field trip to Sterling Forest State Park. A walking tour of the Sterling Ironworks (c. 1738-1923) area including the restored Sterling Furnace No. 2 on the site of the first blast furnace, the ruins of the miners' hamlet of Lakeville and Sterling Iron and Railway Co., and other features. The tour will be led by archaeologist Edward. J. Lenik.
