October 27, 8pm, "Technical Communication in the Early American Iron Industry" presented by Carol Johnson
Meeting and Program at Long Pond Ironworks Visitor's Center on Greenwood Lake Turnpike. Free and open to all.
First Two Weekends of December - Victorian Christmas

A different location every year. Will be announced.

At Ringwood Manor.
Mid-Summer, Annual Ironmaking Demonstration:
The process for making iron in charcoal furnaces is a forgotten art. Every year Duncan Berry and a group of volunteers attempt to reconstruct the process and every year more valuable information is gained. Call (973) 657-1688 for dates.
September, Annual Revolutionary War Living History Weekend:
Public hours are 11am to 4pm, dates to be announced. Sutlers and craft demonstrators. Battle scenario each day at 2pm. $5 per adult, $1 per child. There will also be Candle Lantern Tours the Saturday of this weekend. Advance reservations required, $10 per person. Call (973) 657-1688.
Friends of Long Pond Ironworks Business Meetings:
Meetings are held on Thursdays at 7:30pm at LPI Visitor's Center. Committee work meetings are usually held the following week. Everyone welcome, call to confirm.

NJHHS meetings are held at the Long Pond Ironworks Visitor Center, Greenwood Lake Turnpike (Passaic County 511) in West Milford (Hewitt), NJ, on the last Wednesday of each month at 8:00 p.m. They are free and open to all.
