North Jersey Highlands Historical Society Research Library and Archives

The research library, housed at Ringwood Manor, is dedicated to preserving and archiving historical and genealogical materials pertaining to Northern New Jersey. Its specialties are northern Passaic County, the Ringwood Manor Estate, and the early iron industry. It contains 18th Century documents such as maps, business ledgers, and correspondence, as well as municipal volumes of a later date and secondary works on local genealogy and history. Admittance is by appointment only: email info@northjerseyhistory.org.

The library does not conduct research, but will answer questions regarding the scope and breadth of the collection in regard to a particular research need.

Donations, large and small, are welcome.
