The Lantern Tours were organized by Martin Deeks, Historic Preservationist for the State of New Jersey, Erskine's Militia, and many other dedicated volunteers. The tours reenacted, by lantern light, possible scenes in the town of Hewitt during the Civil War era. Apologies for the poor quality of the images, but photography was not very advanced in the 19th century.
